Galaxy Translations started in 2015 as a response to a gap we kept seeing: law firms and healthcare providers in Louisiana needed reliable, subject-matter-qualified translation for their multilingual clients, and most agencies were either too slow, too generic, or unfamiliar with the specific regulatory requirements that apply in this region.
We started with legal and immigration translation, where the stakes are high enough that quality is non-negotiable. From there we expanded into medical, corporate, and certified translation, always with the same principle: every document type gets translators who have actual professional background in that area, not generalists rotating through different subject categories.
Today we work with law firms, hospitals, energy companies, and government entities across Louisiana, Texas, and beyond. Our most common language pairs are English to and from Spanish, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, French, and Arabic, reflecting the communities we most often serve.
Three things we do not compromise on
Subject specialists only
We do not assign medical documents to people with no medical background. Every translator on a project has direct professional experience in the subject area, not just language skills.
Independent review
Every translation goes through a second, independent linguist before delivery. The reviewer is a different person from the translator, also subject-competent.
No machine translation
We do not use machine translation or AI post-editing for any document. Not for legal, not for marketing, not for any category. Human translation only.
Where we are
We are based in Pierre Part in Assumption Parish, Louisiana. It puts us at the heart of the Cajun region and within easy reach of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette, the three cities where most of our Louisiana clients are located.
Most of our work is delivered digitally. Our translator network is distributed across the US and internationally, which means we can match projects to the right subject specialist regardless of geography.
